mate long gaps between filing is not an issue at all. save your self some money by filing it yourself. Efile is easiest but keep in mind you will have to go to your nearest immigration office once they send you appt info for your pic to be taken and also your other family members.

We went to SanJose Charcote dr. last saturday. Our appointment was at 3pm. But we went at around 1PM as our daughter has a tutoring class between 2-4. They accepted and let us do at 1:15pm. It is cool and not much croud. There are around 10 FP machines and took about 15 min to finish. Our LUD changed next day on our 485 applications. But check the address one day before the appointment. As it shows 122 charcote dr. inside But outside you would see 5 digit numbers and you would easly miss. Also you will not see USCIS on outside board(it shows as some Application center).

Mine is pending in CSC since April 2008. My husband's extension was applied in July, and it came through in September. But mine is delayed like crazy. Processing date last month was June 16 or something. We have filed SR on Oct 28, but there hasnt been any updates until now.

Dear IVans,
After opening 3 SR's and letter through Attorney and finally infopass appointment (not yet done) got the FP notice for my self today (for the first time and applied for EAD renewal).
My dependent (my spouse) has not received her FP notice yet.
Questions:
1. FP is scheduled for Aug 16 2008 (which is Saturday) and is it common to have FP notice scheduled over the weekend in Dallas TX.
2. My spouse did not receive her FP notice, can I take her along with me for the appointment with all the Recipts (I mean all the req docs), will that work
3. And I have infopass appointment on Aug 12 would that help in finiding more details about my case?
Gurus, Please answers/provide your experience/suggestions to the above questions.
Last but not the least, I would like to thank all those who have suggested me in opening SR, take help of attorney, and to take infopass.
I would also like to thank (posted on other thread) who has suggested to called FBI to find out details, which has really helped me.
Hope this completes my cases.

Hi,
After reading about the pro's and cons of EAD e-file and paper based. I found that when you paper file I765, you DONOT get a fingerprinting notice and you DONT need to give FP. You will get your EAD directly. With e-file you dont send in the photos but u will have to go do the fingerprints and photo taken..
Can anyone confirm this?

I was working on a company A(on H1B visa) and left 7 month back. While working on Company A, I was in a project in Company C through another Company B. I actually joined company B to avoid this chain. Company A released me after agreeing for his cut for 4 month, and then $2 per hour until the project ends. This was agreed by an e-mail between me and Company A. I stopped paying the company after 4 month of his cut.
Now the company A has sent me a mail that they want a confirmation mail from Company B that my project ended. If no confirmation email, then they will send me a legal notice.
Not sure what the employment laws are. Could you please advice?

It would be hard to find a similar paying job in canada. Is there some kind of legal issue I would be in if I dont migrate to canada? Will I be barred from ever entering that country again?
Canada PR rules have been tightened in Feb 2008. Once you lose it , next time you may not get PR if you apply.

L1B is comany transfer, for L1B company need to have good revenue for sponsoring L1b and L1b holder must work on the it�s country for minimum of year. Now a days there is restrictions like only computer back ground people need to apply for L1 ( BE/B.Tech in CSE,EEE,ECE) on this because companies are misusing it for no annual cab.
Since it is company transfer H1B is not eligible for L1B ( you have to work in the company home country for 1 year to be eligible) but L1B is eligible for H1b. But many of the Indian companies are not sponsoring green cards for L1A and L1b of then do then they will also face retrogression.

Also i am keep looking permanent full time job with my higher salary.
For the hourly job they asking to fill I-9(employment eligibility verification will inform USCIS). On that form asking my A# with EAD expiration date.
Is there a chance USCIS will know my hourly job?. My concern - this hourly job will create a problem for my GC process (chance to get REF) because rate is low
Please give me your valuable suggestion

My AP was los in mail too (see signature). In my case I had gone to India to get 8th year H1 stamping, when the UPS guy left it at my door and I never got it. Yep, UPS, not USPS, this package was sent by my lawyer who knew I was in not at home :)
I called USCIS when I got back and they said I should re-apply if I need to go outside of US and re-enter on AP in next year, else don't worry.

Thanks desi - AOS is what I was thinking as well but that doesn't seem to be one of the options listed when opening an account (the firm is Ameritrade - you check out their website https://wwwna.tdameritrade.com/cgi-bin/apps/IraApServlet). Guess they are just not aware of this status since it wasn't really designed to be a "status" and only recently have several people moved to AOS status given the backup for EB3 and EB2 China/ India

The price you pay, indeed... my best pictures have come from returning several times to the same spot where I've seen birds before, and spending hours waiting each time. You have to like just being out in nature to do it this way. I can recommend warm clothes and a thermos with something warm to drink. :)

Yes you need Masters or Bachlor + 5 years progressive experience.
