I think everybody here appreciates your effort to get people to contribute. But use of such demeaning language is simply uncalled for.
This approach will simply drive away new members and degrade IV's reputation.
Another question is how do you know if somebody has not contributed. Maybe they did, but just didn't update their signature.
I almost don't feel like visiting here anymore because of all this. Bu you know what, missions of IV are way more important to us.. so much that we are willing to put up with all this and help IV further its missions.
Maybe, we should explore other avenue of making money, like banner ads and targeted SE ads.

People do not buy house to sell it. They buy it so that they can live for a long time. And when you do not know how long you are going to stay in this country(because of immigration issues) then why would they buy. There is something called closing cost, who will pay them if you have to sell?

I am not suggesting that you buy a house and sell it, I am suggesting that in case you plan on buying the house .. don't get intimidated by the bad immigration experience of few folks. My point is that in worst case scenario, if you have to go back to India (which is less than 1% chance), there are ways to deal with house situation.

Per my understanding from other posts here, Pelosi can't schedule floor hearings it is handled by the majority party leader, which is Senator Reid.
Pelosi sets the time-table in the House and Reid in the Senate. Since the bill was introduced in the House, I made the statement.
Hope this clarifies things.

Consult with the attorney on alternate evidence. I believe USCIS in most cases does accept alternate forms of evidence. Not every company issues experience letter, so in this case alternate evidence should suffice provided you have enough of it. As mentioned above, I wouldn't bring up the bond issue. That'll potentially open up can of worms unnecessarily. A company is not obligated by law to issue experience letter.

We have polls here on what worked....that's what i was telling it is too much of a coincidence. Opening an SR won't make a sick IO healthy and come back to work..taking an infopass won't bring a dropped out file back in the pile...talking to senators and congressman are useless anyways....
So bottomline is all this talk about what works or not is a pure guess and nothing else....USCIS has always been a black box and will always be..

Try the following:
1. Send all the documents that are requested to the field office one more time with FedEx signature confirmation. Take InfoPass appointment and fly to the field office and see what's going on.
2. Find your local congressman/woman by using Zip Code. Call him/her and speak to person in charge of immigration matters. Take an appointment or send them all your case details and copy of all the documents. They will follow it up generally with the agency. Also, send a personal letter describing about the hardships that you are facing because of this delay.
3. Send the same package to both the senators of your state. Follow up with them by making a phone call and personal appointment.
4. Check with your employer if they have wage issues with DOL or tax issues with IRS or other RFE cases like yours in the past. Ask them if these are resolved.
The seattle, WA office or any other local office doesnt accept form I907 (which is for PP). After my case transfered to seattle, WA my employer tried to convert into PP. He sent it to USCIS, CA they said it is not with them so they can not accept it. Then he sent it to Seattle, WA with all the letters attached. The seattle office rejected the 907 saying they dont accept 907 in their office.

You can just walkin to Dr Stern office. Even if you have an appointment with them, you may have to wait 0.5-1.5 hours depending on the time you go. If you go on weekend or weekdays after 5 you may have to wait longer but afternoon should be faster. And there fee may be more than $350 if you need to get shots and xray. Hope this help.

my application reached NSC at 7:55am on July 2nd and I got my physical receipt notice today, mine was signed for by R Williams. checks didnt get cashed yet.

What about if one comes back on AP and hence has to use EAD but also has a valid H1 approval ( but no stamping in the passport ) . Can they go back and use that H1 approval for stamping and come back on H1 ? They are still working for the same company which sponsered the H1 and the GC
if you use AP- you dont have to use EAD- you can continue to use H1
and get it stamped the next time you go to consulate.

I took an infopass appointment on 12/13 and met with an IO. All the IO did was to e-mail the service center for FP. I now see two soft LUDs on 12/15 and 12/18 on my I-485. I don't know if these are related to the generation of FP notice or something else.
infopass is not useful for fp. I too tried that way, but didnt help.
if you use the poj, and you are lucky to get hold of IO at the office where your 485 is pending, then they have the authority to create new fp notice and they can also check whether your name check is cleared or not. they will also give you the dates as to when the name check was initiated (this is usually 1 week after your notice date).

Based on Assement in this article, it almost seems that the chances of STRIVE are dead even before it goes to House Immigration Commettee. I am not trying to be negative or something but the article has such a tone. I can understand that Pelosi did not schedule any timing but what concerns me most is the fact that
"California Democrat Zoe Lofgren, who chairs the Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security and International Law, will hold hearings before marking up any bill"
Now we all know how one sided these hearings are and how long they take. In nutshell these hearings give chance to any tom, dick and harry to express his opinion and create melodrama. We already worry about melodrama of people such as Sen Sessions in the Senate. Add this drama, and it can easily eat the short window we have to get the relief. I really hope I am wrong here but I have a bad feeling about this :(:mad:

Murthy's lawyer suggested Consular processing as an option.
She explained that in Consular processing I still need continued Sponsorship from my firm, but it will revoke my 485 application. I will end up filling bunch of forms with USCI, including 824.
This was my PD will remain intact and when it becomes current, I will have to go to Indian Consulate and get Immigrant Visa from there.
IN this whole process My firm needs to continue sponsor my GC processing. Advantage is : I don't have to come and renew my EAD and AP every year.
